The Honorable Joanne M. Winslow brings nearly 40 years of legal and judicial experience to Trevett Cristo, where she focuses on mediation and alternative dispute resolution. Drawing on her distinguished career as a prosecutor, trial judge, and Appellate Division Justice, she helps individuals, businesses, and attorneys resolve complex legal disputes with fairness, insight, and professionalism.

Judge Winslow served as a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court for the Seventh Judicial District, where she presided over a broad range of complex civil matters and earned a reputation for fairness, integrity, and thoughtful decision-making. In 2022, she was invited by the Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals to serve as a Designated Associate Judge of the Court of Appeals—New York's highest court—an honor reserved for a select group of distinguished jurists. Her decades on the bench provide her with exceptional insight into litigation strategy, courtroom advocacy, and judicial decision-making, allowing her to offer clients a unique perspective in resolving complex legal disputes.

Before her judicial appointment, Justice Winslow spent more than 20 years with the Monroe County District Attorney's Office, ultimately serving as Chief of the Major Felony Bureau. Throughout her career, she has earned the respect of colleagues across New York's legal community for her integrity, professionalism, and commitment to justice. She also serves as a faculty member for the University of Rochester's Charles E. Steinberg Fellowship in Psychiatry and Law, where she teaches Family Law as it applies to child forensic psychiatry.

Today, Justice Winslow applies that experience to help parties resolve disputes efficiently and effectively through mediation. Her unique perspective from both the trial and appellate courts enables her to evaluate cases objectively, foster productive negotiations, and guide parties toward practical, lasting resolutions.
