Rochester, NY — July 21, 2026 — Trevett Cristo, P.C., a Rochester-based general practice law firm founded in 1926, is marking its 100th anniversary following a century of legal service to individuals, businesses, insurers, municipalities, and organizations throughout the region.

Originally established as a firm focused on serving insurance carriers, Trevett Cristo has evolved over the last century into a multi-practice law firm serving clients across litigation, criminal defense, business law, labor and employment matters, real estate, estate planning, family law, and commercial transactions. Throughout its history, the firm has expanded its capabilities while maintaining longstanding ties to the Rochester community.

The firm was recently recognized by the Rochester Business Journal in its 2026 "In the Lead: Best Legacy Businesses in Rochester" program, which honors established organizations with a significant history in the region that demonstrate sustained excellence, business leadership, community impact, and long-term operational success.

"Reaching 100 years is an important milestone for our firm," said Lou Cristo, President of Trevett Cristo. "It reflects the trust our clients have placed in us over generations and the commitment of the attorneys and staff who have contributed to the firm's success over the years. Longevity in this profession comes from consistently delivering results, adapting to change, and building lasting relationships in the community."

"As Rochester has grown and adapted, so has Trevett Cristo," said Eric Dolan, Managing Partner at Trevett Cristo. "Our longevity comes from building trusted relationships, adapting to the changing needs of our clients and community, and continuing to deliver sound legal counsel with integrity."

Over the decades, Trevett Cristo attorneys have held leadership positions throughout the legal profession and public sector, including appointments to the New York State Supreme Court and Rochester City Court. The firm's growth has also included the addition of new practice areas and strategic expansion to meet the changing needs of clients and the broader business community.

As part of its continued growth, the firm recently announced that New York State Supreme Court Justice Joanne M. Winslow will join Trevett Cristo as a partner, bringing extensive legal and judicial experience to the practice.

"I am honored to join Trevett Cristo during this historic year for the firm," said Justice Winslow. "The firm has established a strong reputation in the Rochester legal community, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success and client service."

The firm has also expanded its regional footprint with the opening of a new west-side office, increasing accessibility and convenience for clients throughout Monroe County and the surrounding region.

As part of its centennial celebration and ongoing community outreach efforts, Trevett Cristo will partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester to host a community giveback event on August 6. During the event, attorneys will serve Abbott's Frozen Custard to Boys & Girls Club members and staff as a gesture of appreciation and community support. The event also coincides with Abbott's Frozen Custard's own 100th anniversary this year, marking a shared milestone for two longstanding Rochester institutions.

Today, Trevett Cristo's team of 18 attorneys serves clients across Upstate and Western New York, continuing a century-long tradition of providing practical legal counsel and experienced advocacy.
