Emily’s areas of focus are criminal law and family and matrimonial law. She gained comprehensive experience as an Assistant Public Defender, specifically defending a wide range of criminal actions including DWI, misdemeanor and felony cases. Emily has vast courtroom experience and has conducted multiple bench and jury trials. In the realm of family matters, Emily focuses on custodial and support issues.

Emily received her Bar Accreditation in New York State. She graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law with a Juris Doctor. In 2009, Fusco received a Women Lawyers of Western New York award for outstanding performance working in the areas of children’s rights and family violence.

Outside of the courtroom, Emily is a member of the New York State Defender’s Association and the Monroe County Bar Association, with specific memberships in the Criminal Justice and Family Law sections.
